Originally constructed in 1946 and converted to offices in the 1980s, the redevelopment of the former Treasury Building on Lower Grand Canal Street delivers a transformative, low‑carbon 230,000sqft office building that combines deep retrofit, heritage preservation, and significant new-build expansion.
Now reimagined as The Bakery, the redevelopment includes a deep retrofit of 180,000sqft of office space, 50,000sqft of new office accommodation, delivered through a coordinated package of extensions, a two‑storey vertical extension, new mezzanine floors at ground and first level to optimise internal volume. Resulting in a LEED Platinum v4.1, sustainable redevelopment.
